Some positive news for the region, as a Supply Chain Mapping initiative for offshore wind has revealed that over the next five years, the region’s offshore companies expect to create an additional 4,500 jobs. (Bdaily)


Going further: The case for investing in Further Education and adult skills
IPPR publication which looks at investing in skills and adult FE. The issue of skills mismatch is explored. It is clear that this has been heightened further with many jobs being lost due to Covid-19, therefore adults need to be able to access education to develop further skills to better align with these changes. There are a number of recommendations made to try to address this.
