Job Gains & Losses
Frank Recruitment Group has opened a new headquarters in Newcastle creating 100 new jobs. The new roles are aimed at new graduates, sales and customer service people from other industries and European language speakers. Frank Recruitment hope to appoint new staff over the next two months (Bdaily).
New Security Training Centre
Access Training, based on the Team Valley are opening a security training centre for apprentices. The training centre will give apprentices the skills to design, install and maintain security systems inside and outside of buildings, such as CCTV, fire alarms and access control systems (Bdaily).

Universal Credit Statistics
Report produced by Department for Work and Pensions containing statistics on Universal Credit covering the period to 8 February 2018. (Universal credit is still being rolled out across the country therefore this report does not account for all claimants who may still be on jobseekers allowance).The number of people on Universal Credit as of 8 February 2018 was 770 thousand. Of these people 300 thousand (39 per cent) were in employment. The report also links to an interactive map which lets you access Universal Credit figures by local jobcentre.
Tech Talent 2018
This years Tech Talent is taking place at the Crowne Plaza, Newcastle on the 24th May. More than 70 exhibitors will be in attendance to discuss roles and opportunities on offer in their company. There will also be many colleges, universities and training organisations present to offer information into routes into the tech sector.
